On the north edge of Grand Lake, Colorado, sits Rocky Mountain National Park, one of the most spectacular and popular national parks in the United States. There is 359 miles of trails, originating from 35 trailheads, and the highest continuous paved road in the United States, Trail Ridge Road, connects Grand Lake to Estes park and reaches 12,183 feet (in the summer time). There are 60 species of mammals, including elk, moose, bighorn sheep, mule deer, black bears and coyote.

For them you do have to pick them up and drop them off which is located about 15 minutes away from the Gateway Inn and 20 minutes away from Rocky Mountain National Park.

Mad Adventures has two different locations for rafting. They do the Clear Creek which drops from the mountains just west of Denver. Then there is their Upper Colorado Rafting trip which is located near the headwaters of the Colorado River and the western side of the Rocky Mountain National Park.
