Rocky Mountain National Park

On the north edge of Grand Lake, Colorado, sits Rocky Mountain National Park, one of the most spectacular and popular national parks in the United States. There is 359 miles of trails, originating from 35 trailheads, and the highest continuous paved road in the United States, Trail Ridge Road, connects Grand Lake to Estes park and reaches 12,183 feet (in the summer time). There are 60 species of mammals, including elk, moose, bighorn sheep, mule deer, black bears and coyote.

High Country Trails

Start your ride in the country at Shadow Mountain Guest Ranch, 7 Miles from Granby. Customized rides take 1-6 hours. They take time with each customer to make sure they go on the ride they’ll enjoy. Their favorite trail takes you to top of the mountain where you have an overview over Granby, Hot Sulphur Springs, and Grand Lake.

Grand Lake Marina

Located on the shores of Grand Lake. Rent your own pontoon boat, Whaler, kayak, or canoe and enjoy stunning views of the Rocky Mountains and the Continental Divide. Also offers chartered sunset party cruise for up to 30 people with catering available.

Trail Ridge Marina

Located on Shadow Mountain Lake the Trail Ridge Marina offers single and two-person Kayaks, Paddle Boards, Pontoon Boats, Fishing Boats, and Pleaser Boats.

Highland Marina on Lake Granby

Renting a boat from Highland Marina on Lake Granby can be a way to see the head waters of the Colorado river. They mainly offer pontoon boats to rent.

Rocky Mountain Outfitters you can get bait & tackle, equipment rentals, and even guided trips. Enjoy the views from the boat and fish Colorado’s Largest Natural Lake. Ice fishing is also available in Winter.

Mad Adventures

They do the Clear Creek which drops from the mountains just west of Denver. Then there is their Upper Colorado Rafting trip which is located near the headwaters of the Colorado River and the western side of the Rocky Mountain National Park.

ATV Rides

On the Trail Rentals

Grand Lake Colorado’s only ATV and snowmobile rental located on the trail! All rides are completely unguided through 130 miles of scenic groomed trails in the Arapahoe National Forest. On the Trail is 10 minutes away from the Gateway Inn.

Grand Adventures

Grand Adventures does guide off-road vehicle adventures, which takes you in the Winter Parks Arapahoe National Forest with their Continental Divide Tour.
